Heat G Chalmers has torn thumb ligament (AP)
Miami Heat point guard Mario Chalmers has a partially torn ligament in his left thumb and is out indefinitely. Chalmers was hurt Friday in Detroit and sat out the Heat's 95-84 loss at Milwaukee on Saturday, the first game he's missed in his two-year career. An MRI exam Sunday confirmed the injury.
Magic win, Van Gundy to coach East squad (AP)
Even though the Detroit Pistons are having their worst season in 16 years, coach Stan Van Gundy knew his Orlando Magic were in trouble Sunday night. After all, the Magic had lost 10 of their last 11 visits to the Palace of Auburn Hills, and they were knocked out of the playoffs by the Pistons in 2007 and 2008.
Arkansas rallies past No. 18 Mississippi (AP)
After winning two games in the Southeastern Conference last season, Arkansas is suddenly 3-3 and has notched back-to-back wins over Western Division-leading teams. All is right in the Razorbacks world? Not so fast, coach John Pelphrey said, after his team muscled past No. 18 Mississippi 80-73 on Sunday.
James sparks 46-point 1st, Cavs roll (AP)
When LeBron James hit his fourth 3-pointer of the first quarter — from 30 feet away — Los Angeles Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy sat silent in his chair while the sold-out crowd roared around him. There was little Dunleavy or his team could do to stop the Cleveland Cavaliers during their 114-89 win Sunday night.
Bosh lifts Raptors to fifth straight win (AP)
Chris Bosh has had one taste of a division title. Now he wants another. Bosh had 26 points and 15 rebounds, Andrea Bargnani scored 17 points and the Toronto Raptors won their fifth straight game, beating the Indiana Pacers 117-102 on Sunday night. "Bosh was just too much for us," Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said.

Coyotes win Tippett’s return to Dallas (AP)
Phoenix Coyotes coach Dave Tippett refused to gloat after his new team beat his old one. Shane Doan had a goal and two assists, Ilya Bryzgalov made 38 saves, and Phoenix stretched its winning streak to four games with a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Sunday in Tippett's return to Texas. Tippett coached the Stars from 2002 until his firing last June.
76ers end 3-game skid, drop Nets to 4-42 (AP)
At least the New Jersey Nets' games are getting closer. One problem: Being close won't help them in trying to avoid the worst season ever. Andre Iguodala scored 14 points, including seven in a key portion of the third quarter, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to an 83-79 victory over the Nets on Sunday night.
Kings rally late for sixth straight win (AP)
When coach Terry Murray talks about his Los Angeles Kings these days, he doesn't hesitate using the word character. The Kings have it in abundance. Wayne Simmonds and Drew Doughty scored in the final 1:46 and the Kings matched their longest winning streak since 2002 with their sixth straight victory, 3-2 over the New Jersey Devils on Sunday.
